On Sunday we drove our new car to the pretty town of Broadway on the edge of the Cotswolds. We had planned to play in the park, which has great reviews on tripadvisor. When we got there, it was a little cold and wet – usually ok because we prepare well although I’d left their gloves at Nursery so they had sock hands instead!
However, the park itself was looking a bit tired, maybe because it’s out of season. We had a quick go in the toddler / younger kids zone – some swings, a slide, a seesaw and some things-on-springs, then we went to see a friendly horse.
We were looking for somewhere double pushchair friendly to have some lunch and found Russell’s Fish & Chips. They had high chairs, but we tried the chairs for R & N, which was mostly successful, especially as our food order arrived very quickly. Yummy food – chips and peas for all and halloumi for me. We usually get a bowl of chips for R & N to share after several wasted kids meals and give them bits of ours to share.
All chips eaten and a few dogs stroked, we drove home through Cotswold villages.
