Centre Parcs – Sherwood

We have been booking a January break for a few years as something to look forward to after the Christmas/ Birthday/ New a Year hullabaloo. It’s also a chance to spend time together for our wedding anniversary.

A term time January mid week break to the Sherwood Centre Parcs

is quite cheap at £260. We didn’t pay to choose location and we were given an older cabin than our last two visits, but it still had everything we needed and it was a short, safe walk to the Subtropical Swimming Zone.

We booked some activities in advance for the first time – a short pony ride (£22/14 mins) for Reuben and Niamh – Niamh loved it, Reuben lasted 2 minutes! The ponies were lovely and calm and the girls leading the ponies were friendly.

We also booked a half day in the crèche while we played adventure golf and had a child free lunch! The crèche was great! The gad snacks and made a hand print picture to take home.

We hired a cabana for one swimming session, which has totally spoiled us! Towels, drinks, TV and a safe to keep our phones in. It was good to have somewhere to enclose toddlers while they ate and we got them changed into their pyjamas at the end of the session ready for bedtime. This avoided a changing room meltdown that was experienced on our next visit!

We have taken advantage or the rebooking offer (voucher, insurance and guaranteed lower rate) and have booked our January 2018 trip. We will going to Longleat for a change.
